St. James's Place Foundation
Ian has regularly supported the SJP Charitable Foundation and in the past has undertaken walking challenges across Dartmoor, climbing one of the ‘Munros’ on the Isle of Skye and cycling challenges in Ireland, France and more locally for the 100-mile challenge during 2020.
Ayesha has followed suit and completed her first fundraising challenge for the Foundation in September 2020 when she took to the skies above Cirencester to complete a Wing Walk. An incredible experience whilst raising funds for brilliant causes supported by the St. James's Place Foundation.
We often also support local volunteering days such as earlier this year when Ayesha spent a day at the Flower Pod, Southwell working with a team of other SJP colleagues.
Brainstrust
Ayesha was diagnosed with an aggressive rare (1 in 10 in the world) cancerous brain tumour in September 2022 and had three operations, radiotherapy and chemotherapy in the 18 months that followed, finishing treatment in February 2024.
During her diagnosis, Brainstrust provided incredible support to Ayesha and she set about raising funds for them during her treatment journey such as ‘Wear Grey’ campaign during October 2022 and completing a Marathon walk on the first anniversary of her Craniectomy on 15th September 2023 in the beautiful Derbyshire Dales.
The St. James's Place Foundation has since provided grant funding to Brainstrust as well for the invaluable work they provide to those who are diagnosed and those who are supporting people with brain cancer.

Brain Tumour Research
Ayesha also received help and support from Brain Tumour Research during her treatment and as a family and business, we have previously fundraised for their Walk of Hope in 2024 and intend to do again in September 2026. (Image of Walk of Hope.)
Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease since records began in 2002.
Brain Tumour research is about raising the profile of the funding and research needed to find a cure for Brain Cancer in children and adults.

As a local responsible business, we support charities in Wirksworth such as the Wirksworth Arts Festival, Wirksworth Carnival and local schools. We live in a wonderful, welcoming community in a town full of independent shops and businesses and we are happy to be in a position to be able to support these local events however we can.
